Undocumented students continue to be a growing student body on colleges and universities across the nation. Although, recent legislation has contributed in mitigating some of the barriers that come with lack of legal status, undocumented students continue to face challenges in their pursuit of a postsecondary degree. As a result, some universities have established undocumented student centers within their campus in order to provide resources and services needed by this marginalized community. Through five in-depth interviews with students who utilized the AB 540 & Undocumented Student Center located at UC Davis, this thesis examines the impact and significance of a designated center for undocumented students.
